Polycom 501 error updating bootrom

i have to say that the file Temp\inin_firmware\Polycom\spip_ssip_3_2_3 was shared and i removed the sharing from it-- after that i found that the provisioning server is not recognizing it any more, this is not important much.

4-ININTFTP server browser so it took all the configurations as the previous steps BUT finally it gave me the error 0*20 and provisioning faild.

here r the logs after provisioning from the TFTP via the network(steps 3 & 4): notice: after the reboot i found there is a missed folder in the firmware,in the past it was 3 folders but now they are 2 folders and the missed file is spip_ssip_3_2_3, and this firmware is the required firmware version for our polycoms.

Hi all, If you have errors on your provision server, turn up you Provisionserver logs to 80 and try to load a phone.

Use the Polycom Simulator so you can see what files you get and what is missing.

Then the Provision Server log can tell you WHERE it tries to load the file from and will list the error if it can't find the file.

Set it back to use Option 160 for Http and it will upgrade and pickup the new config.

As for the firmware and config files, they are stored in the user's temp folder.

And this successfully update this entry in Global Directory Entries in IP Phone Globals section.

But this does not applied to the actual phone directories.

Copy an old firmware to the TFTP root of the CIC server then set the phone to use TFTP.

It will downgrade the phone, wiping the config in the process.
